08 Oct Blooming Lovely in Stockbridge
There must be something contagious in the air at River Dental in Stockbridge, Hampshire as all of a sudden we have two of the team expecting babies. We are delighted to announce that Sarah our practice manager and Emily our receptionist are both pregnant. Sarah is due in March and Emily is due in December. Watch this space for details of the pending arrivals.
Due to the ladies needing time off for their babies there will be some new faces about the place to cover them and there will be a new face on reception soon to take on some of the work load as we are just so busy.
New Look Practice
Many of you have noticed and commented on our new décor, over the summer whilst Richard was away we had some pretty extensive work done. Both upstairs surgeries have now been modernised and are equipped with state of the art machines, we also took advantage of the beautiful location of the practice and have had some walls knocked out to make way for new windows/doors allowing us to really appreciate the stunning views surrounding us; as you can imagine that all created lots of noise and mess so we finished it all off with new flooring and a coat of paint. We have received some very lovely comments about our new look – Thank you.
In keeping with our ethos of doing the best for our patients we are expanding our team further and would like to welcome Jinal to the practice. Jinal qualified as a dentist in 2010 at Birmingham University and has since gone on to become Oral and Maxillofacial Senior House Officer at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Paediatric dental and maxillofacial Senior House Officer at Birmingham children’s hospital and has passed exams for the Royal College of Surgeons England and Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh. Jinal has much experience of working with children, anxious patients, vulnerable patients and medically compromised patients. Jinal is currently working to expand her knowledge in her area of special interest, periodontal disease. With Jinal on our team we are able to provide a much more extensive range of gum treatments to those patients who need it and might otherwise have the inconvenience and expense of visiting a specialist. And in order to support this increase in staff and continue smooth running of the practice we have two new nurses. Danielle who has joined us from another practice has been a dental nurse for 20 years and Alex is currently still in training. You will probably meet them when you next come in.
As always we have been keeping a keen eye on the comings and goings along the river and are pleased to report all seems well. The kingfisher has been seen about a month ago and judging by the looks of him he is well and has been catching plenty of fish. We have also had a few visits from the heron lately who likes to sit by the river and watch the fish. All else along the river is well and we look forward to what autumn has to offer.
