Dental Crowns and Bridges

Crowns and bridges are a fixed solution if you have missing or damaged teeth.

This restorative procedure can make your smile look natural again. Where a tooth structure is damaged or fractured a crown is used. Where one or more teeth are missing a bridge is used. A conventional Bridge is constructed by a Dental Technician and usually consists of crowns on the teeth at either side of the space and these are then joined together by placing a false tooth in the space. This is then cemented into place on your existing teeth.

Another option is an adhesive bridge or Maryland Bridge. This has wings that are bonded to the back of the supporting teeth with minimal destruction of tooth tissue involved. Bridges are only possible if you have enough strong teeth with good bone support.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I broke a crown at the front on a Wednesday and managed to get an emergency appointment with Dr Asim Raja the following day. We agreed a treatment plan and on the Monday he started the preparation work in a 3 hour appointment! On the Thursday, after some sterling work by the lab technician I was fitted with my new crowns and was able to smile again. Great work, very quick and Dr Raja was superb throughout.

Alison is an excellent hygenist who is very attune to a patient’s needs. As I have been suffering from a frozen shoulder, sitting in a dentist chair might not have been the best idea. However, Alison was very attentive and made sure that I was most comfortable whilst treating my teeth, even adjusting the air con so my shoulder freeze up again!
Further to the above, the practice receptionist is also very welcoming and efficient. What a fantastic dental clinic!
