Cerec 3D Crowns Hampshire   Repair Your Teeth

There are several ways we can repair damaged teeth at our relaxed modern  Dental Practice in Stockbridge, Hampshire. We offer traditional general dental treatments, such as fillings and amalgam filling replacements, through to advanced restorations using our state of the art CEREC® 3D Cad Cam system used for dental onlays, inlays & crowns.

Fillings

Many people have had (silver) amalgam fillings in the past which they now feel are unsightly. White fillings match the colour of your teeth so look completely natural, are long lasting and an increasingly popular choice. Many people decide to switch to white fillings when older style amalgams need replacing due to wear and tear. However, if you have dark or discoloured fillings that are visible when smiling or laughing, you may like to change them for aesthetic reasons.

CEREC® 3D in Hampshire

We can use CEREC® Inlays and Onlays to repair teeth. In the past we would have to ask a dental technician to construct inlays and onlays and therefore you would need to return for a second visit. Now, however, with the advent of CEREC® technology, this can all be carried out in one visit for your convenience and delight, as many of our patients are with theses treatments!

We are proud to present our own in house ceramic studio, CEREC® MCXL. With this advanced system, we can quickly restore damaged teeth, using permanent natural-coloured ceramic restorations. These are anti-abrasive and plaque resistant.

In about one hour we can restore teeth, using restorations that resemble the composition of natural tooth structure and without the need for impressions. CEREC® 3D uses high quality ceramic materials and Computer Aided Design technology. This ground-breaking treatment ensures no second appointment will be necessary.

Using this technology, we can produce any kind of tooth restoration. Chipped and discolored teeth can be repaired using porcelain crowns and veneers. Broken down molars can be restored using inlays and onlays, meaning unsightly silver fillings are a thing of the past. Enhance your smile with CEREC® 3D.

Before Veneers

After Veneers

Cosmetic Dental Veneers

A veneer is a thin layer of ceramic made to fit over the front surface of a tooth, like a false fingernail fits over a nail. Veneers can improve the colour, shape and position of your teeth.

A precise shade can be chosen to give the right colour to improve a single discoloured tooth or to lighten front teeth. Veneers make teeth look natural and healthy. Because they are very thin and are held in place by a special strong bond very little preparation of the tooth is needed.

Multiple Veneers can be used for Smile Makeovers. We are able to use CEREC® 3D to make veneers and even do Smile Makeovers in a single appointment.

Root Canal Treatment

We do our upmost to retain your teeth and when they are damaged or diseased to such an extent that simple repair is not possible there may only be two options.

One is removal of the tooth and the other is Root Canal Treatment. We will offer you choices and work with you to decide which is the best course of action for you.

Root Canal Treatment is needed when the blood or nerve supply of the tooth is infected through decay or injury. You may complain of an existing pain or in the early stages of infection not even feel any.

In some cases, your tooth could darken in colour. The infection may spread through the root in bone and lead to an abscess if left untreated.

The aim of the treatment is to remove all infection from the root of the tooth and fill the root canal to prevent any further infection As a dead tooth is more brittle, it may be necessary to restore the tooth with a crown to provide extra support and strength to the treated tooth.

Root canal treatment is routine but a skilled and time-consuming procedure and in most cases will involve two or more visits.
