Dental Implants Hampshire   Replacing Your Teeth

There are several ways we can replace missing teeth, when you visit our dental surgery in the beautiful surroundings of Stockbridge, Hampshire, we can discuss restorative dental treatments in detail.

Dental Implants

Dental implants, a revolution in dentistry, are the perfect solution to replace missing teeth or stabilise loose dentures.

Dental implants are small posts placed under the gum in to the jaw to work as the roots of missing teeth. Once the dental implant has integrated within the bone, a crown, or artificial tooth, is then fitted to match your teeth and mouth and improve your smile. An implant can replace one tooth or multiple teeth for a healthy smile that looks and feels natural. Implants are a well-established, tried-and-tested treatment. Over 95 per cent of modern implants should last for many years with the right care.

With dental implants the cosmetic and functional results are as good as natural teeth and can last for many years.

Rachel Evans is our experienced and capable surgeon, generally using the Ankylos Dental Implant system, offering single implants to multiple implants including the “All on 4” system. Another treatment gaining in popularity is denture stabilisation using mini dental implants.

Dental Bridges

A conventional Bridge is constructed by a Dental Technician and usually consists of crowns on the teeth at either side of the space and these are then joined together by placing a false tooth in the space. This is then cemented into place on your existing teeth.

Another option is an adhesive bridge or Maryland Bridge. This has wings that are bonded to the back of the supporting teeth with minimal destruction of tooth tissue involved. Bridges are only possible if you have enough strong teeth with good bone support.

Dentures

A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth and adjacent tissues. It is made of acrylic resin, sometimes in combination with various metals. Complete dentures replace all the teeth, while a partial denture fills in the spaces created by missing teeth and prevents other teeth from changing position.

At River Dental we work with some of the UK’s leading denture technicians to ensure that we provide you with dentures that fit and feel comfortable and also look fantastic. We know you want your teeth to look as natural as possible and no-one to know you have dentures and our technicians achieve that with great results. Sometimes we have patients who struggle to retain dentures, particular their lower ones. When that is the case Richard and Rachel work closely together to offer an implant retained denture.

Rachel Evans, our dental implant surgeon, is highly experienced at securing loose dentures with dental implant treatments.
